Australian Thomas Maxwell has joined Sean Walkinshaw Racing (SWR) for the 2016 BRDC British Formula 3 Championship season, completing the Chipping Norton-based team’s line-up.

The teenager took four podiums from six rounds of the Australian Formula Ford series in 2015 and made his ‘slicks and wings’ debut earlier this year in the Formula Masters Winter GP in Sepang, Malaysia, where he finished in second place.
Maxwell said: “I’m super excited to be signing with SWR in such a fantastic championship. It’s a credit to everyone back in Australia who’s shown support and helped me get to this level. Everyone at the team is incredibly professional; I’m looking forward to a strong year!”
