2016 BRDC British F3 Championship

A dramatic season-long title battle came down to the 24th and final race of the season, as British Formula 3 returned to the UK motorsport scene in 2016. Brazilian Matheus Leist emerged as a worthy champion after overhauling Carlin's Ricky Collard, who had led the way by 15 points heading into the season finale at Donington Park.

Lanan Racing's Toby Sowery claimed five victories en route to third in the overall standings, as he finished just ahead of the impressive Thomas Randle; the Australian partaking in his first season of European racing. 16-year-old Enaam Ahmed finished just behind his Douglas Motorsport team-mate in fifth but the season belonged to Double R Racing's Leist.

The 2016 Duo BRDC British F3 Autumn Trophy took place at Snetterton, with Enaam Ahmed emerging victorious from a high-quality field, which included German F4 Champion Joey Mawson, Double R's Dan Ticktum and Kiwi karting start Marcus Armstrong.

2015 BRDC F4 Championship

HHC Motorsport's Will Palmer stormed to the 2015 Duo BRDC Formula 4 Championship title to become the third champion in the series' history. The Southwater driver claimed 12 wins, exactly half of the races across the year, to secure the crown with three encounters still remaining.

Behind Palmer, an almighty scrap for second developed with rookie Harri Newey completing a HHC one-two as he took two wins late in the season to claim the runner-up spot. Sophomore driver Tom Jackson also took two wins in a strong year and finished third, ahead of Rodrigo Fonseca and the impressive Ciaran Haggerty.

The 2015 Duo BRDC Formula 4 Autumn Trophy saw the introduction of the all-new, more powerful Tatuus-Cosworth and the racing action was as good as usual. Harrison Scott led the way for Douglas Motorsport after the first four races at Snetterton but Fortec Motorsports Ben Barnicoat fought back at Brands Hatch to steal the crown, with Lando Norris impressing in his first outing in the series.
